i honestly don't know where to begin.
i feel as if each day this week gave ample material to fill massive space in this blog.
but for the sake of keeping things simple, and for choosing not to-re-live the roller coaster of the the recent past, i will get out the selective information that i feel will be beneficial to my sanity. i'll start with last weekend.
last weekend had all the workings of a good time on the surface, despite it being mixed with challenging events and conversations.
ernie and i enjoyed an adventure to big bear, just like old times.
our conversation was deep and healing and completely necessary.
i felt even closer to him than before.
if of different subject matter, i might share these things with you, but much of the purpose of the conversation was to put it away into the past and away from the memories that we create in our new life together.
sunday was father's day.
ernie and i decided to visit sandals church in the morning.
i loved it! it was so welcoming.
a balance of a wonderful time of worship and convicting message.
after church, it was off to see ernie's family for some good food.
they crack me up. aunt nancy with her blunt opinions and loving advice, suzanne with her constant reminiscing of her glory days, grandpa with his witty punch lines and contagious laugh...it was a great time.
nearly an hour of time passed when we got a phone call from the mother-in-law
crying because her new little green geo metro wouldn't start.
back to grandpa's house we go.
i patiently waited in the car.
6:45pm and we are finally off to conway's going away party.
my heart especially felt for my sister and her departure from her boyfriend for an entire summer.
the time spent in san bernardino was wonderful apart from my new heels sinking into the freshly moistened dirt outside and the countless mosquitos that were inevitably attracted to my sweet flesh.
we lightened the mood with jokes and laughing despite the eminent separation our dear conway the next day. the time will go by quickly for the two love birds, i reassured them.
after arriving back home, i reflected on the closer proximity to my hunny in large part to the happenings of the weekend. we went into our bed with a sense of awe. we had each other to share our lives with.
i was happy.
the flash of white his grin made in the dark room reassured me of his love for me.
we held each other tight and slipped into a peaceful sleep, preparing our bodies for the 4AM wake up call that displayed itself on the face of the iHome.
